Shiver Me Timbers in Print!

Look what hit newsstands this week!!!



This beauty is featured in the Spring 2013 issue of Fons and Porter's Love of Quilting - Easy Quilts.
They are calling it Pirate's Compass and the image in the magazine is just perfect!

Here are some larger shots I took of the quilt here at home.

The back has fun, bold, graphic blocks of the red skull print and the blue tossed ships print. I used bamboo quilt batting for the first time on this one and it made such a soft, warm quilt. I love it. As soon as I got it back from the magazine photo shoot, I curled up with it in my comfy chair.

I am so happy with how the finished product turned out. I had to make this one really quickly during the time I was running around like a crazy person making quilts and accessories for Quilt Market. I got this one done first and sent it off before I had a chance to admire it.
